I cannot emphasize how amazing La Vida ADK expeditions are!! The impact they leave on participants is incredible, and the trips themselves are formational on a personal and spiritual level. The people who work for the program make the experience so much fun and are very well trained. So grateful for the experiences I've had through this program!!

La Vida is one of the most transformative experiences I have ever had. The integration of spiritual learning and disciplines with physical and tangible experiences, as well as the passion for developing leadership in every group member, make learning and leading something accessible and impactful for everyone who has a La Vida experience. And this is not even to mention getting to spend 12 days exploring the jaw-dropping wonders of the Adirondacks or the depth of community and friendship bonds that it creates for lifetimes. La Vida is stellar through and through.
The people who work at La Vida are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They do everything well. It was an incredible experience and one I would love to do all over again!
As a participant and trip leader, LaVida always provides new opportunities and experiences that leave me in awe. This program is unique from others as it focuses on experiential education as well as wholesome, personal development. The staff is an exceptional group of people from all walks of live, and has been the best job ever! Basecamp is beautiful and well loved, and an amazing place to work and be a student in!
I spent several summers as a guide for La Vida and have wonderful memories shared with good people in the Adirondacks. I often look back on the memories of those summers and find great delight and remember the many lessons I learned about how to care for others and nature.

My La Vida leaders were the first one's to recognize and encourage my leadership potential. Their positive encouragement, and the entire experience of the ADK expedition, helped me identify my passions and talents, and gave me the confidence to pursue them. Plus, they stoked my love of being in nature and taught me the skills to get out and enjoy it!
La Vida was one of my best Gordon experiences, helping me to form friendships with my peers and grow closer to God! I would not be where I am now without that experience and the guidance from my sherpas.
