Not only for the summer! Our family decided to rent a RV and go skiing around the various ski resorts in the area. We made Whippoorwill our base camp and it was fantastic to be able to hookup during the winter. Will and Connor were great. Very responsive and available with our many questions. Connor was especially helpful and went out of his way to help us out and make us comfortable even during a winter storm. Great people and the location was perfect for us to see lake George and surrounding area.

Great location. Very clean facilities and the owner is very nice and goes above and beyond. Beware if you take the bike path to the left it is all downhill to the village

There’s a difference between feeling comfortable and feeling like you’re home when you are visiting places, and this campground feels like home. From the moment you pull in and Will or Connor greet you, you automatically feel more than welcome. The facilities are clean and comfy and those who work here are never more than a couple short minutes away to answer any question you have. Having been multiple times, each visit I find myself looking forward to seeing the campground and the owners more than I do the actual activities I have planned. I am more than excited for my next time coming up to stay and could not recommend this campground enough!!

If your looking for a friendly and fun place to stay while visiting Lake George this is the place to be. This family run business is by far one of the best places I have stayed and exceeded all of my accommodations. If there was anything you needed they would help you or know someone that could help get the job done. The campfire is one of the greatest parts because it brings everyone together and you get to listen and reflect on people’s stories from all over the United States. I will always be coming here when I get to visit Lake George.

Our family decided to try this campground instead of a state campground on Columbus day weekend. Out of 20 camping trips in 2019, this was one of our favorites! The owner, William (and his dog Gunner) greeted us warmly upon arrival. Our site was the most wooded, and biggest (#28). It had electric and water. This campground is small, had a community feel, and was enjoyed by our teens as well as my wife and I. The bathrooms and showers were clean and nice to use. *Another reviewer mentioned the bike trail - thank you!* The paved bike trail allowed us to bike into Lake George (about 2 miles) and avoid parking. Very safe and easy although uphill on the way back. The pool was really nice, but we did not use it. Our family was so impressed that we decided to reserve the same site next year before we even left. William told us they have more improvements for next year. Can't wait. ****Columbus day weekend 2020 - returned and got site #22. Many improvements since last year. The personal service by the owner and staff is amazing. Our family loves this quaint campground. We will be back again next year. See new pictures!

An amazing family owned business. Very friendly, greeted us as soon as we got there. Always around the grounds to help you with what ever you may need. Grounds were very clean and the staff gave great suggestions for things to do that we may have never known about. Looking forward to out next stay.

Really nice and immaculately kept campground. Great location too. The owner is a really nice guy and makes sure your stay is perfect. Its the best kept secret in Lake George. The cottages and motel units looked very nice also. Will definately be back. Thanks for the great stay!!

We had a fabulous experience at Whipporwill Campground. The campsites are grass and beautiful. We camped here for 10 days. The owners were very attentive and checked on you everyday. This is by far one of the cleanest campgrounds we have stayed in all year. I highly recommend camping here.
