Bought a kenmore elite refridgerator and broke down within a year. This is the second kenmore fridge I have bought from there might I add that broke. Shame on me for going back for another right? Spent 4 months on the phone with corporate/local store and still haven't received a replacement fridge because nobody knows what they are doing. New local boss Mike was unwilling to help and got angry with me even though I mentioned it's been 4 months my family has been without a working fridge. 4 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible help, terrible products, and not so great of staff. If you have any sense go somewhere else. Be nice if they would compensate me for being without a fridge for so long, but it's \out of there hands\ like being able to give me a replacement fridge and forcing me to take care of it on my own. You would think they would be willing to put a little effort into their jobs in taking care of local customers for shopping locally, but what do I know.

My experience at the Litchfield, Illinois Sears Hometown Store... First, let me say, I always like to give my business to a local merchant instead of a \Big Box\ store. I went into the Litchfield store on Saturday 05/18 to look for a washing machine. The young fellow that was there was very helpful and knowledgeable. We told him we would decide on one and come back in a day or two. We decided on a machine, came back in on Monday and told the \owner\ that we wanted the HOT BUY front loader for the advertised price of 599, and that I didn't want to pay for delivery. He informed me that he only made 50 on the HOT BUY and that he couldn't/wouldn't do it. So, I will give my business to someone else. Even if it costs me more. Not only did he let my business walk out the door that day, but all future appliances or home needs of mine in the future. Also, my son is in the process of a total remodel of his home, needing all new appliances. He will be purchasing his appliances elsewhere. I'm retired now, but I have run numerous businesses in the past, and all I can say is you don't let money walk out the door...you never know what that one sale will lead to. Thanks for listening to my rant. I'll be sure to pass the word of my wonderful experience. Thank you.
Just made a purchase here. What a great store. Can't wait to get our new washer and dryer!
