Railway ride in the Bunker Hill district of the district of Downtown Los Angeles if you are going up can have a nice view of the city and take amazing pics of the buildings for just one dollar if you are going down across the street is located the Grand Central Market.
We love the funicular... when it’s operating. It’s always an iffy thing. It’s a short ride, the plaza on top is worth a visit, it’s cheap and if the cable doesn’t break and your car doesn’t plunge into traffic on Hill Street, killing everyone onboard (which has happened more than once), it’s a lot of fun!
I plan to ride Angel Flight both ways, but when I got there, no attendance, It's around 7:50 AM. Hang around the upper station for 10 minutes no one showed up. Tired of waiting and not knowing if anyone will ever comes back. I decided to walked around toward the Music Center, etc. and made a big loop back to the bottom station. From the bottom station you can enter the train, so I went in, took photos' sat on the upper seat so if there's an attendance up there they can see me sitting there and wanted a ride. So glad a few minutes later the bell rang the lights came on and off I go. I enjoyed the ride, I wish someone was on the upper station when I arrived so I could ride both ways. Can the attendance leave a note for the customer when he/she would be back so I know how long to wait? My car was park on a meter parking, not enough time to go down and back up again. Maybe next time.
This place is amazing. There is nothing like it. You could spend a week there doing all there is to offer.
