My friend and I got takeout from Roc today and it was easily the best food I’ve had in a very long time. I got scallion pancakes, crispy and light with just the right amount of oil. Veggie pan fried dumplings were full of delicious fresh greens and rice noodles on a bed of scallions. The dipping sauce was a blend of spicy and umami flavors. So good. The person who took my order was helpful, knowledgeable about the menu (I’m vegan and needed to know what was available) and efficient. When our food was ready she came to the door to bring it to us as we waited outside. It’s easy to miss this amazing spot because there is no sign out front. Pro tip: DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS FOOD!

I am completely addicted to ROC's dumplings and frequent their delivery. The staff here is on top on it and everything always comes out fresh and piping hot. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and have never been disappointed, but my go to dishes are the pan fried chicken dumplings, veggie fried rice, popcorn chicken, sauteed shrimp and always the egg flower soup...its incredible!

The place offers a fantastic variety of delicious food. I enjoyed dining here. Employees are always super nice, prices are reasonable and the place is always clean.

Fantastic food here. I've been here a few times now, and this place has never failed to disappoint. The dumplings are very good here (much better than Din Tai Fung), and the fried rice dishes here have pretty good portions. The food quality had been consistently good, and I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good dumplings or buns.

I placed an edit on the location that I need to take back, because ROC does not have a sign, and it is really hard to identify. (Sorry, Google Maps!). - The food is great here. They have soup dumplings, but surprised to see they have no soup on their menu. One employee said they are expanding their menu. I'll be interested in coming back when they do.. Service is lacking.. when the hostess seated us, she brought the two of us to a table with one chair. She didn't even notice, cause she started cleaning (or organizing??) another table. And my boyfriend had to ask a few times for sweetener for his tea. Not a big deal. It's just service is spread thin here.

First time checking this place out and I left fairly satisfied (2017/6/10). It is a somewhat arduous task to find a solid Taiwanese joint out in the westside of LA, but I would definitely give this place repeat visits to try out their take on some of the classics. What I got and what I thought: Beef Noodle Soup (2017/6/10) - flat noodles best capture the flavor - sour pickled cabbage is a must (adds a kick to refresh your palate) - broth is loaded with a nostalgic star anise flavor - bone-in ox tail gives a nice meat texture and visual appeal * Overall, I really enjoyed this dish and could possibly establish this place as my go-to local Beef Noodle Soup stop Scallion Pancakes (2017/6/10) - doughier style of the dish that is a bit more formal compared to the late-night street vendor style (the one that's flakier and oilier) - comes with a light sauce, but I found that I enjoyed the dish more with my Beef Noodle Soup broth * I have a favorite spot for these in Hacienda Heights, so I didn't have very high expectations before trying this dish Popcorn Chicken (2017/6/10) - a less-fried take on the common go-to appetizer - tender and flavored with garlic and scallions - dipping sauce adds more flavor dynamic, but it feels somewhat strange for me to use * I prefer a different style of popcorn chicken, so I have other restaurant preferences. But the dish was enjoyable nonetheless While none of these dishes are what I would consider the best I've ever had, I can see myself making monthly visits for a hearty bowl of Beef Noodle Soup (as an alternative to monthly Taiwan trips).

The name ROC gives no clue on the type of restaurant this is. Even most the employees are are Latinos. It's an Asian dumpling restaurant...and it's pretty darn authentic and taste good. Prices are a bit cheaper than a well known Asian chain.
