This place should be shut down it's dirty and they treat the people in there like animals. My aunt was treated bad by a worker in there. Their clothes gets lost all the time my aunt's shoes were lost and my aunt was with no shoes God knows for how long. No security inside hospital/ I've never seen one. But yet they do have a security out at the parking lot. \REALLY\ hospitals are supposed to be always cold but for some reason this one is always hot...

At most 1 out of 5 stars. I would not recommend Westlake Convalescent Hospital at 316 S. Westlake Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90057. They used to be good in 2015, but they have severely declined in the level of care and service to their patients since then. They seem to be short-staffed for CNAs about half the time. Some of the CNAs don't come for a long time after the call button is pressed, and when they come, they do the minimal amount of work. I know a patient who was staying there. They didn't respond to the patient's call button even an hour after they were called. They regularly left the patient lying in the patient's own waste, even in diarrhea, for hours at a time, even after the call button was pressed for help. Painful rashes developed in the private areas as a result. To add insult to injury, no one on the nursing and CNA staff would apply the necessary skin cream to the rash area. Nurses said it was the CNA's job, and CNAs said it was the nurse's job When a patient calls or texts a family member or friend to call the hospital to try to get the help the patient needs, the hospital's main phone number often goes unanswered. They have some very good employees, especially the non-CNAs and some of the CNAs, and some bad ones who are CNAs. They need better management that can improve the level of care. Someone from the government should inspect and investigate them. I would look elsewhere for a place for your loved one.

I worked here for a few months it was okay but the same as Bonnie brae the way they talk to you is unprofessional Their always short on staff so the morning shift has 12-9 patients they dont set a visiting time so family members are always there . The families can lie and say you've done something they won't investigate they will play games with your licsence but the pay is good and the DON is a nice lady .
