I moved to Louisville about 6 months ago from Alabama. I’ve been working from home completely but today I got an opportunity to work at our downtown office. I stumbled across this place during my lunch break. I am typically not a sandwich guy but there was something about this place that drew me in. I am so glad I stopped! The sandwich was meaty and so flavorful —I ordered the High Horse. The owners were awesome as well. Very friendly and they thanked me for my business by name. They will def be my go-to lunch spot when I am downtown!

Came here with husband last week when we were in town. We had the Burgoo, Beggars Banquet and the Cave City Cuban. I am not usually a big fan of beets, but I love goat cheese and the combination was delicious - and not one I would have EVER tried to put together on my own. Hope to come back again!
Best sandwiches in the city. Not even close. An authentic icon of the local food scene with a legacy of over a half century.
Great place for a quick lunch, the place has been here forever.... menu is simple but all the food is great... I would give them 5 stars but they have outdated registers... I will be back soon as this hit the spot. If your downtown a definite spot to have a great sandwich,,, if they are serving potato salad or coleslaw make sure you get it....
This place is amazing! First off, the staff was super friendly and chill. Gave me good recommendations for a sandwich to try. Second off, the sandwich was delicious. I also got the broccoli salad which was great too. I like all the seating in there, it was a cool place and the employees were happy and joking with each other too.
