If I could, I gave no starts to this branch. I was charged 3 in fee for BECU ATM cash withdrawal from my EIP card even though under \Fee-Based Services and Transactions\ it clearly stated that 2 fee is waived on the first out-of-Network ATM withdrawal. I came to BECU branch in Lynnwood (919220 Alderwood Mall Pkwy) on Jan.25 to discuss this issue in person. The teller told me that she cannot waive the fee because the bank is not responsible (on the check it's ATM OWENER FEE: 3 and this ATM branded by BECU). I said that in this case I'd like to talk to someone who is in charge and asked her to provide me with BECU's corporate address. Instead, she started advising me in very pushy manner not to contact the headquarter. After I mentioned, in a polite manner, that it's my right to address this problem to the corporate leaders, the lady got snappy and told me that I am rude to her. I even apologized, told her that there is nothing against her, but she was unstoppable and could hear only herself. During entire conversation she kept saying: \Do you understand what I am saying\ even after I repeated 5 times that I did. She didn't give requested information, acted self-righteous and bossy to me. I felt like I was treated with bias, and left frustrated, and upset. I don't know why I was charged this 3 ATM withdrawal fee since it was my first and only one withdrawal from EIP card using BECU ATM. But at this point I don't feel comfortable going back to BECU for any customer assistance and after this unpleasant, nerve-racking experience with BECU teller, I am thinking about taking my banking elsewhere where employees happy to see clients and assist in professional manner. I am mailing this letter to BECU headquarters in Tukwila. All the best, Katrine C

Tried to go in and get some help regarding a cancelled credit card. During COVID my husband and I had a rough go (like many) and missed 2 payments. BECU cancels your card immediately after 2 missed payments for anyone wondering and has no problem dropping your credit score 53 points. Sharon was immediately condescending, told us about responsibility as if we were children, reiterated policy over and over, and told us \she is also going through a hard time\. It would have been completely different if there was ANY want to help us whatsoever, maybe a suggestion of what we could do to better our situation? Anything. I've never been treated so poorly trying to get some compassion. Their motto is, \people helping people\, maybe that used to be the case. Your on your own with this bank. They will be losing a customer of over a decade.

The staff are disagreeable and the lady in management is unpleasant to say the least, I was given false information. If they put as much effort into their personality as they do their eyebrows, perhaps they would have an easy time getting along with other people.

Super slow service. You have to wait outside in line for 45 minutes to get a cashier check

Went in looking for assistance/guidance on loan consolidation and was assisted by a Teller named Rachel who was fidgeting with a Rubik’s cube. Instead of giving us options on how to best approach it, she came off incredibly condescending as if she pitied us for asking. After she gave us little to no help in terms of what we could do, she had the audacity to say “I know times are really tough right now” and handed us a financial advisor card. Nobody died and we are not in a bind. We were just looking on ways to better plan our finances. You should probably hire someone who is more socially aware of situations and doesn’t judge their customers when asking for help.
