Although, I didn't grow up a Wisconsin Badger football fan, I have a strong appreciation for Camp Randall Stadium. The atmosphere is electric. The students are rowdy and filled with energy. Who's ready for football season? I know I am. I'm hoping I will be able to catch a football game at Camp Randall Stadium this fall. Fingers crossed.
I have watched some of the most amazing sporting events and concerts from the stadium. I have seen some amazing players like Daryl beville, Ron Dane, JJ Watt, Russell Wilson, along with Brett favre, Reggie White from the Green Bay Packers play there in the '90s. I've seen that stadium go from 60,000 seats up towards 85,000 seats. Getting the new upper deck, box seats and those amazing digital jumbo screens definitely made watching the Badgers more exciting. Some of the best memories growing up were at that stadium.
What a great venue and great fans. Being a Michigan fan who's team got completely blown out everyone was a good sport. I really enjoyed myself especially being able to get on the field before the game.
It has a great atmosphere on game day. It is very simple to get into the stadium. I would say my only complaint is that in the student section, they are extremely strict which is not the case at other universities - I felt as if I was forced to stand on top of the person next to me. Cool stadium, the walk into the stadium is very pretty and feels historic.
