My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had an absolutely amazing experience! Everything was spectacular. The room was large and comfortable with lots of wonderful amenities. The owners were extremely accommodating, preparing special breakfasts for us (one dairy-free and one vegan). We felt pampered the whole time as they made sure we were stocked with all we needed and also giving us great advice on what to see and do in Madison. I highly recommend staying here, I know we will next time we are in WI!

Totally beyond my expectation! Honestly, the first glance at the appearance of the building was completely on the opposite site of my impression of an “inn”. But as long as I got into the house, I was absolutely impressed! The traditional dining hall, antique lounge, complimentary service (including breakfast and wine) and especially the details of bedroom setting - silky texture sheets, wooden fans, spa tub, and small decorations such as microscope and college books - everything here is amazingly attractive! The only defect might be a lack of sound insulation that you might hear others’ occasional footsteps since this is an old house. But nothing is bad if you consider this place as a home. I would definitely come back in the future and recommend my friends to be here! 5 stars! And I have to revise this comment, adding more appreciations to the complimentary breakfast: it is sooooo great! Gorgeous breakfast, decent people, considerable service and wonderful talk! I should give it 6 stars!
My husband and I were VERY impressed! This was our first time away with no kids for almost 3 years. We wanted something homey, comfortable, and relaxing. This place was exactly it! The breakfast was also very very good! We will definitely be back! The Mendota suite is the room we had and we felt that the space was just what we needed.
The Buckingham Inn was a great local get-away for a night. The breakfast was delicious and the owners are so on top of everything - and very careful about COVID as well. I stayed in the Varsity Suite, and I really loved how it was both luxurious but also homey and comforting.
The room was immaculately clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. My husband and I had a wonderful time.
My wife and I booked one night, and chose the Buckingham based on reviews and proximity to Madison's bike paths. The owners take COVID 19 seriously and have taken all the precautions to keep guests safe. They were also very good about providing assistance when we needed it-like getting us cutlery for our take out meal when the restaurant neglected to provide it. The breakfast was great and served in our room at the time we requested.
Amazing B&B. Clean, luxurious, easy to do self-check in. I love that their answer to COVID19 was not to cancel breakfast, but to deliver it to your room. Beautifully arranged, gourmet meal. Absolutely recommend.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and it was a wonderful, quiet getaway. We felt very welcomed and taken care of. Very close to a nice walking/biking paths.
