ADT is a terrible security service. I called to cancel my service with them and they told me I would have to pay 1,125.01 to break my contract which had just automatically renewed that I did not know about. They told me the only way to avoid paying this cancellation fee was to transfer the service to my new house, so I did. Then out of the blue, one month later, ADT withdrew the 1,125.01 cancellation fee. I was LIVID. I called them and between being on hold and going back and forth for over an hour everyone seemed like they couldn't understand what happened. I was asked the most ridiculous questions like, am I sure I relocated my services, which is easy enough to just look in the system and see. The customer service rep told me she put in for the fee to be reversed but I should call back in 2-3 business days to check on it because its another department that handles the refunds. I asked her why I would have to call back to check on something that was their mistake. She said because its a different department, sometimes the ball gets dropped and there's a chance they wont refund the money back to my checking account they sometimes mail a physical check which could take up to 30 days. I am still waiting for my refund. I am beyond upset. Not to mention, two weeks ago they randomly took out 9 out of my account. This is a very small amount, however it should not have been taken out. When I called to see why it was taken out I was told it was an \accidental charge\ and that it would be returned to me in 3-7 business days. If I never caught this wrong transaction they would've just gotten away with taking random money out of my account. This makes two incorrect charges within two weeks. I would never recommend this security service to anyone. Even one star is to good for them.

The worst security company ever, run, don't deal with them. Tried to cancel my account a few month ago by E- mailing and by Mail and still got a Bill every month.Got told that I have to call to cancel. I did that too and still get a Bill every month and the Bill is growing I guess they are totally incompetent and they should be ashamed of themselves I was with them for almost thirty years when it was Protection one and I'm fed up with their harassment and will take actions !!!!
First of all, I don't have ADT service but I absolutely would never even consider them after what happened today. A local ADT representative CAME TO MY HOUSE during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC and had the audacity to not only come to my front door and touch my door handles to open my glass door and knock, but he also was not even wearing a mask!! I honestly feel like my personal bubble was so violated by this and I am appalled that a company would support their sales people going door to door, knocking, and trying to sell me garbage security during a pandemic. Absolutely absurd on so many levels. The next time someone comes to my door from ADT, I'm letting my guard dog out.
Nothing but thieves! Charged a 99 installing charge. They told us they couldn't install because of not having the right equipment. When I asked for a refund they told he it was non refundable!
There is a 3 year contract that they do not disclose when they sell the service. I sold my home after a year and a half, to move for work and they are charging me nearly 600 in cancellation fees. I cancelled and sold the house over a month ago and they still haven't figured out the billing. They've charged 2 months this March 19 and again on March 26. Customer Services is so poor they can't figure out how to fix this. Do not get this or any service that have contracts like this! Also, there where times when my alarm when off and nobody called me. I just got an email.
