I found Boyka through an online search. I read reviews and since the reviews said nice things, I trusted her to help me fix four shirts I have to make them a length I like so they fit better. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! I loved the shirts when I got them but the length of them all was a little off for me so I wanted them to be made shorter. She literally made them perfect and I can’t wait to wear them now. I’ve 100% found my new seamstress for whatever I need. I would recommend her to everyone and anyone I can. I really can’t believe they came out as perfect as they are!!

Boyka is the best! I have been using Boyka as my go-to person whenever I need alterations for over 20 years. I usually need some tweaking with my clothes so they fit better. Her work is meticulous. I always love the way my clothes look on me after she works on them. I am an artist with some sewing experience, so I do go to her with some creative ideas with some of my clothing pieces. She is always willing to work with me and they come out great! Boyka is also very honest. I depend on her opinion when I am not sure that it is worth making alterations to a piece I am unsure about. She has saved me money by telling me the truth. She is at the top of her profession. Not too many people today have the craftsmanship that Boyka has.

2020 has been such a hard year on my kids but with my son, it’s deeper. He’s a social butterfly and loves sports and after school functions. I could see him developing a deep melancholy, the longer he had to be separated from “normal.” In that time, he really took a shine to my old classic rock and metal bands of my youth and got a real charge out of seeing my old denim jacket, with all the band patches, adorned. With that, I ordered about seven classic rock, and metal patches, online, and bought a denim jacket...I was gonna have his own sewn up for his birthday! However, due to post office lags from Covid and the strain of the holiday season, the patches didn’t arrive until 3 days before his birthday. After researching tailor & cleaners with alteration services and even outright seamstresses, I came across Boyka Alterations. I called and expressed my situation and immediately they offered to start the project and promised to have it done for my son’s birthday....and I was not let down! At 3pm, just 47 after I dropped it off, I got a call to pick up my son’s denim jacket. It was absolutely perfect, evenly placed and sewn tight. It looked like a million bucks. Moreover? Wildly affordable. I thought, going in, I was going to get a high bill based on the expeditiousness of the job, but it was priced right and much appreciated. Boyka Alterations was a life-saving angel and a master of the craft. I recommend them first, before any in town. I will be going back with all my family’s future needs...they have a customer for life!

Brought a dress to be altered for a wedding I was in. Went to pick up the dress and was charge over 100 which is more than half the price I paid for the entire dress for just a 2 inch hem and the fix the straps. I’ve had other bridesmaid have to get the dress taken in 3 sizes who paid under 80 for their alterations. Let’s just say I will never go here again. After explaining how a different woman had screwed me over so I was happy I found her she managed to ripped me off should have just went to the other woman.

Boyka took the gown of my dreams for my sons wedding and made it flawless, After taking in the top of all beading and hand sewing back the beads, removing the train, as well as making the cape it came with, into a scarf which I was able to wear 3 ways, I had a perfectly fitted gown. I used her 20 yrs ago but like a fine wine she only got better, Only use her if you want the best.
