Spoke Dr. Gutierrez's on the 2nd of this month. He was very courteous, patient, answered questions that had. I have tried to call his office several times but no answer! and no answer

Horrible staff. They do not tell of an appointment until last minute reminder a day before. Staff does not communicate well with each other & patients. Follow ups for my father are too far apart. Dr also does nothing to help my fathers condition.

I was with Dr. Gutierrez since he moved his offices from the other side of 83 over 14 years ago. I had an appointment every month simply to refill a prescription. He is very knowledgeable and cordial. Brenda and the veteran nurses are awesome. However, in his office the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. At least 2-3 times EVERY year, he either goes out of town or something comes up where I come in and find out I'll have to wait an extra 2-3 weeks for him to write me a prescription. The final straw for me was being told that they ran out of prescription pads and had no idea when they'd get more. It was almost a month before they called me back and by then I had already switched doctors. If I relied on him for a lifesaving medication, I would have been dead long ago. Also, be prepared to wait 1.5-2 hrs for a 5 minute appt. If you're scheduled at 8:30, you MIGHT be seen by 10 and out by 10:30 on a good day.

Great neurologist. Dr. Gutierrez is bilingual in English and Spanish. He takes time and listens to his patients. He does want you to call his office if you have problems or have issues with the medications prescribed to treat your medical condition or if things aren't helping or it's getting worse. Dr. Gutierrez diagnosed me right away and I've been seeing him for several yrs now. My seizures are completely under control, my hands aren't shaking except when I'm nervous, and right now we are working on how to deal with my constant headache. I can finally close my eyes and touch my nose without missing which at first I just thought that's ridiculous anyone can do that but not in my case, I was very unbalanced and uncoordinated that I could have poked my eye out. He's very careful and aware of your medical condition's such as having an organ transplant, being pregnant and will work with your other Dr's to provide the best care possible. A very great and kind Dr. Of course with every specialist you do need to get a referral from your physician. I do believe he accepts Medicaid, Medicare and most insurances but it's best to double check just in case.
