Our server was amazing. Friendly and helpful. The food was great. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Food came out fast & hot. The milkshakes were so good! Huge shout out to our server, Kyle Bur. Definitely will be back.

Food was good. The shrimp and grits was nice.. Chunky monkey had too many chocolate chips.
A short wait to be seated, which is not unusual during these Covid times. We ordered the topical Mimosa and it was in a fairly large glass (not a champagne glass) but I'd take the larger glass over the fancy glass. It was well made bit too sweet, very refreshing. The food came out fairly quickly after we ordered. We had the corned beef hash and eggs platter. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash had a nice crunch it. We also ordered the pancakes with eggs. The pancakes were fluffy and not too heavy. Overall a great place with great food.
The food was very good but it felt incongruous with the diner decor. Why not serve more normal stuff like chicken fried steak?
I grabbed dinner here recently when I was working late. I hope that diners never go away since they are one of the only options outside of fast food if you're trying to eat after 10 or 11, and it was certainly a lovely coincidence that my gig that night was a few minutes away from Silver Diner. Considering that you can't turn your head without looking at a chrome-covered surface, this place lives up to its name. The inside is fitted with a jukebox and 100% working Seeburg table speakers/song selectors at each both, allowing the guests to select which song is played on the jukebox. If you've never seen one of these systems before, it's worth going just for that. As far as atmosphere, the diner gets a solid 10/10 from me. As for the food, I ordered the meatloaf and a vanilla shake for dessert. Both were quite good but unfortunately my phone died before I could snap any pictures. The meatloaf came with a choice of salad or soup, and I did manage to get a picture of the delicious chicken soup. The meatloaf came with vegetables and sat atop mashed potatoes and gravy. You wouldn't think meatloaf would be that hard to screw up, but there are a few points where it could go wrong. Fortunately, my meatloaf avoided all of these pitfalls -- it wasn't too fatty, wasn't smothered in too much sauce, and most importantly wasn't dry. The shake I ordered for desert was good overall, but I thought it could have been sweeter. It had sort of a buttery taste. Overall I'd give the food a 9/10 -- definitely better than your average diner food. My only real gripe with this place is that I felt it was overpriced compared to other diners. Then again, you're paying a premium on the atmosphere, which Silver Diner has put a lot of thought into, and the superior food, so it's not exactly comparable to most other diners. I'd happily eat here again, but it would have to be for a more special occasion.
