Worst shopping experience I think I've ever had. I went in on-the-fly to look for some cabinet hardware. I was initially wearing a mask but due to health issues, I can't wear it for long and I had taken it off. Two employees proceeded to tell me I had to put it back on, and when I stated that I have a health condition they told me they didn't care. One employee told me that nobody would assist me or check out my order and the other told me to go wait outside (with my two young children in 20 degree weather). I called and complained to the manager because I didn't know Menards employees had also joined the mask enforcement task force. The manager told me to shop online, which isn't an option if you're trying to pick out something like knobs that you have to be able to see in-person. Beyond that, the manager wasn't much help and i hung up still having several issues with this store and their insanely rude staff. First of all, nobody has mask enforcement powers. Second of all, when I state that I have a health condition and the employees prompt me for more information, that's a violation of my rights to keep my health info private. Third of all, my girls witnessed adults acting ridiculous and dramatic and rude. I don't know when it became ok to feign concern for people while actually being discriminatory towards those with disabilities or illnesses, but that is not what I am trying to teach my children. I won't be coming back to this store, and I'll continue to tell everyone I know not to go back either. Go home, Oakland County.

Recently called up to the wixom menards and spoke with a very enthusiastic employee named Shannon. (I’m lying when I say enthusiastic) and I had a question in regards to a filter for my refrigerator and was abruptly cut short in the most monotone voice I’ve ever experienced and I ended up hanging up on her. Never have I felt unimportant as a customer with a simple question. Keep employees like Shannon and watch the customers flock to Home Depot. I’ll pay more for customer service in lieu of something cheaper.
