Very disappointed oh how a doctor can bring your dream of becoming a father down. After spending 20 plus minutes talking about a thyroid issue than really focusing on what was the problem. Thankfully my wife and I we decided to seek a second opinion and that second opinion was successful despite all the medical complications DR.Couvaras had stated. Also I will like to add that the staff needs to learn customer service and the medical biller needs to learn more about insurance and how to process a medical bill. My wife and I we made our dream came through but not thanks to DR.Couvaras. Don’t need an email regarding this review or a phone call. This is a review for others to consider your service.

I cannot say enough great things about Dr Couvaras and his team. Dr. Couvaras is a genius. He is very passionate about his job and it shows. He is always studying the latest treatments and research and does not treat his patients with a cookie cutter approach. His style is very direct and to the point but his wife, Rhoda, balances him out perfectly with her compassion, understanding and encouragement. She will go the extra mile for you, she will comfort you through your heartbreak, she is amazing. IVF is a difficult road and you need the best doctor and a great support system. I am thankful I found that in IVF Phoenix. After struggling for years to conceive, I am now expecting my first child in December. I am forever grateful to Dr. Couvaras, Rhoda and the entire IVF Phoenix team.

They must not need clients. I set an appointment on a Thursday for the following Monday. Since the appointment was so soon, they stated it was mandatory I get all forms back to them by 3PM on Thursday the same day, which I did with plenty of time. Which also allowed them plenty of time in advance to get with my insurance company to verify coverage for the consultation. However, I recieved a text, not a call, from them on the day of the consult only a few hours before the schedule consult, that my insurance said I needed a referral from my main Dr. to them in order to have coverage. I text back saying thats not true. Then Dawn with the insurance department finally called me. She said the same thing. I told her that's not true. This is not a true HMO plan, that it is still an open access plan and a referral is not needed. She said that oh well we have to listen to what the insirance company says. So instead of listening to the client who does insurance for a living and who's company writes the coverage and knows for a fact this isn't true because they have 2 HMO plans, one needs a referral and the other is OPEN ACESS no referral needed, which is what I have, she assumes. The correct thing would have been to say ok thanks for the additional information and then call the insurance company back with this additional information to get the correct information from them so we could have had the consultation. This also should have been done further in advance to allow time to take care of things like this. I just said go ahead and cancel the consultation since she didn't seem willing to do anything on my behalf and didn't even really listen to or believe me. There are way too many other clinics out there that do IVF around the country. This process is hard enough and if you pay attention to first impressions......

I'm really disappointed by the staff. I was first greeted with responsible staff and dr who treated my case and me with respect and care. Now when i try to go back in and see the dr or get tests done staff are unfriendly unwilling to work with patients and do not have good follow up or good follow up questions. I understand that due to covid-19 there are certain rules you must follow, but theres still patience who cannot follow some of their extensive proceedings due to health related issues. Upon asking for a notice for my work i was denied without a consultation to MY dr or even to ask me why i needed it. The tone in their manner of speaking to me has become quite rude, and im a customer service rep. I know rude when I hear rude. Im not going to go on here and share my medical information to convince you that something needs to change when it comes to taking care of your patients. For now on i will only work with my dr and if he starts to be the same i will find a new one. That is all. If ive said i work between the hrs of this time and that and that i prefer text and email then WHY are you CALLING me at my work!!

Dr. Couvaras and his Staff were amazing, they explained everything in detail and made sure I understood the IVF Process and that I was educated on all of my options.
