I took Shana's amazing Beginner's Technique class. I had tried one needlepoint canvas before taking the class, and after this class I feel so much more confident tackling my next project. I now know 4 new stitches and how to actually go about completing a canvas. Shana is a great teacher, taking the time to answer any and all questions, and her love of needlepoint is contagious! The virtual format works very well, and I loved that absolutely everything we needed for the class was include in the kit. I highly recommend this class for anyone who is new to or curious about needlepoint!

If you have ever admired a needlepoint belt or pillow and wished you could ever create one like me, I highly encourage you to sign up for Shana's class! Needlepoint always seemed like a daunting club I was not a part of, but she breaks down every piece from selecting canvas, fibers, and needles down to the stitching. She sends you a kit with everything you need! The class moves along at a pace that anyone can follow. The class size is small, you can ask questions along they way and go at your own pace. She is incredibly patient and helpful. She is unbelievably generous with her time and is available by email to answer any questions you have even after the class is finished. You also get a recording of the class to go back if you need to refresh! I can't wait to take her decorative stitch class.
Shana Thank you for a wonderful class. Your instructions were clear and you explained the guide charts in a way that was easy to follow. You touched on all of the "questions" that I had ,as a beginner, from canvas mesh to type of thread to different kinds of stitches that are possible. Thank you for the video so that I can refer back when I forget what to do. I thank you and cannot wait to stitch.
I truly enjoyed taking Shana’s beginners class! I had never needlepointed before her class but I have always been inspired to from all of Shana’s beautiful pieces she’s made! Shana taught all the basics in such details over and over with so much patience, she made sure everyone was on the same page and understood every step of the way! I am SO excited to be able to needlepoint my own canvas for my daughters! I highly recommend taking all of Shanas classes, I cannot wait to sign up for the next level!
I took Shana's Decorative Stitches class. For someone looking to expand their needlepointing skills this class was great. Not only did I learn new stitches, Shana also taught me some needlepoint tips and tricks. The class size was small, and Shana was helpful and friendly. I look forward to taking more of her classes.
I took Shana's beginner's technique class last week and it was amazing! I am actually an experienced stitcher, but I learned from my mother, my grandmother, and my great grandmother. While they were wonderful teachers, I never attended a real needlepoint class, so I have never been confident in my technique. Shana changed all of that. She was patient answering everyone's questions and making sure everyone understood each step. She seems to know basically everything about needlepoint, which makes her an amazing resource. She was a great teacher for the absolute beginners and the more experienced stitchers like myself. The class is turn key. She sends everything you need (canvas, threads, needles, threader, scissors), and students can learn in the comfort of their homes. She sends out a helpful pdf for reference and a recording of the class. I cannot wait to keep taking Shana's online classes! I love that she is making needlepoint accessible to beginners during these crazy times.
I took Shana's Beginner Needlepoint class and it was exceptionally helpful! She sends you a kit with *everything* you could possibly need-canvas, thread, needles, needlethreader (that's the thing you can't figure out before class), scissors, literally everything you need to get started! Shana is a very clear teacher and it was easy to follow along and gain confidence! She was very patient and helpful figuring out where we went astray. Overall, Shana really increased my enthusiasm for an intimidating thing-needlepoint-that I am now incredibly excited about! Thanks for the great experience and lesson, Shana!
I took Shana’s beginner class and loved it! I’ve needlepointed before but was self taught so this was extremely helpful to learn the “right” way to do things and learn some new things too! I learned a lot I didn’t know & cannot wait to try another class sometime... highly recommend!
