We started going to Mission Animal Clinic when we adopted our first dog in 2009. He had a cavity that needed to be pulled which meant he needed anesthesia and we called around for prices and they were the most reasonable clinic in the area for the service. We established care and have been going to them ever since. We now have three dogs and have always used Mission Animal Clinic for services, specifically Dr. Goodman. He is kind, professional, reasonable in price and I feel like he truly has my animals best interest at heart and does not recommend services that are not needed. We just found out last month (at the same time) that one of our dogs had cancer and one had kidney issues. Dr. Goodman has been nothing but informative, compassionate, removed the tumor for us and did an amazing job. The prices were very affordable and it reassures me why I keep being a loyal customer even though I moved further away from them. Thank you Dr. Goodman and staff. You all are amazing!

Your staff does a wonderful job of remembering Frankie gets scared when she goes to the vet, and in turn, can be aggressive. I always feel like it is a collaborative process keeping her calm and working on her level. She gets more comfortable with each visit and I appreciate it. Thank you, guys!
Would give zero stars if I could. I will never trust these people with my dog again. I took my newly adopted dog in for the first time and I was absolutely unimpressed and taken aback by the way both the vet and the helper handled my dog. He had never been handled (held down, pulled on, and yelled at) the way he was there, and he was so scared because of it, but neither of them took the time to be comforting toward him and just expressed frustration with him, kept raising their voices at him, and kept approaching him in an uninviting way (and they work with animals for a living????). I was absolutely disgusted leaving there. On top of treating my dog poorly, they didn’t listen to a word I said about his past medical history and weren’t at all concerned with treating the actual condition, they just wanted to find the easiest way to mask the symptoms, sell me a useless (and expensive) product, and send us on our way. The receptionist also had no idea what was going on when I was checking out and was extremely unprofessional which just added to an already negative experience. I will never go back and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend taking your animal somewhere else where it won’t be such a negative and scary experience for them and for you. I know most animals don’t like the vet, and these people just make it that much worse for them which is so heartbreaking to experience and not at all the way a clinic should be handling their pets.
I am always impressed by this vet! Their prices are so reasonable, they take great care of our animals, and they are always so responsive when I have concerns. The vets have always checked in later on in the week after visits to follow up and see if we need anymore assistance which is super appreciated!! Highly recommend this vet to anyone :)
I would give zero stars if I could. I rescued my beautiful dog in December 2019. We discovered at his annual appointment in 2020 that he had contracted heart worm prior to his adoption. Ultimately, he had a false negative when the rescue tested him. We immediately begin treatment, which is intensive. It is hard and sad but our whole family, 3 kids included, have been dedicated to it. When I called to discuss treatment I would get contradictory information, but we worked through it. I gave all the understanding I could. I felt okay and wanted to believed they cared. However, after his last treatment, I inquired about the long term effects and how to best care for him through out his life. I was met with condescension and was told that if I would just “give him his medicine like I should then this wouldn’t happen.” I quickly objected and explained that prior to his rescue he lived in an outdoor dog run and that everything in the veterinary community states there can be a 6 month delay in identifying heart worms, so we were just trying to fix his unfortunate beginning, and he has been on heart worm prevention consistently since joining our family. He walked away. My husband called and he admitted that he heard that I was upset by his insinuation but that it “rolled off of his ear.” So he admitted that he upset me with his accusations but didn’t feel the need to address it before he let me leave in tears. This place is loveless chaos. Avoid at all costs.
