The gumbo was outstanding! Other people came in from across town to get some gumbo because they knew it was so good, but i got the last serving! It's so good that they regularly run out. They make oxtail on Sundays.
went in with my husband to get chicken and waffles this morning. they didn't go to the bank and have change for us so they gave it on the house. I'm born and raised in vegas, so I've never had that happen before. when we got home we started eating and it was the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. amazing food and some real southern hospitality. we'll be back here real soon. I plan on taking anyone I can here just to repay them and show people what good food is really like.
If you are looking for fresh cooked food this is the spot. It does take some time to get your food but when you do you will be happy you waited. I love this place.
*************DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE... UNHYGIENIC SANITARY CONDITIONS************** I've came on numerous occasions to be surprised with uncooked hamburgers, spaghetti, chicken and other foods. I would NOT eat at this place again even if it was the last place on earth and i do NOT recommend anyone else to jeopardize their health and life to eat at Mo Mo's Chicken & Waffle... And the Chicken & Waffle is not "amazing" if, the chicken is served cold and partially cooked. You can make Chicken & Waffles at home in a matter of minutes without having to deal with other's negligence.

I walked in there right when they were closing and I told them I was from out of town and told her that I heard they make the best Chicken & waffles in Houston, so she cranked the fryer back in and whipped up another batch of waffles and maaaaan I must say, better than Roscoe's. Will definitely be going back. Loved the food and great hospitality. Hoping to try the daily special next time. Nothin' but that good ol' fashion soul food- goodie mob.Y'all are a blessing.
