I worked here for four years, close to five as a care giver. It wasn't a bad workplace initially, but over the years it just fell apart completely. On the surface it looks like this facility is genuine, caring, and ethical. That would be stretching the truth. It is a disorganized circus, and a toxic environment to work in. Communication doesn't exist, they cannot keep staff, and they don't drug test, when they should be. Resident care is hit and miss at best, depends on who the staff are at the current time and real Resident Rights seem to take a back seat to what is convenient for the management and staff. During my time there the residents were like my second family, management would probably label me as a 'disgruntled ex employee' but I type this review for the residents who I still love to this day. Don't let the smiling faces fool you. There is real corruption here, folks.

I cannot say enough great things about mount hope nursing center. During the pandemic they have strived to keep our loved ones safe and made accommodations to allow family members to be able to communicate with them by FaceTime, phone, window visits.. etc. I have felt like my dad is safe, even when I cannot be there. One of the best decisions was moving my father to MHNC, they care for him and I know that he loves it too.

This nursing home is completely unethical. We have a family member who is not expected to live through the night. She hasn't eaten since Thursday and she is completely unconscious. This nursing home will not allow anyone in without a negative COVID-19 test administered by them. They are only testing so many people and refusing to test others. They absolutely will not accept any test results from another clinic. They are violating the rights of individuals who want to say goodbye to their loved ones and people are dying alone. I do not recommend this unethical nursing center.

Our mother was a resident there for approximately 2 months during the COVID pandemic. The staff is absolutely the best ever! So emotional when they had to tell our father he could not come and sit with her daily - they cried over it! The staff is so caring and trustworthy! Such a wonderful culture in this facility! The facility is clean, and such a home-like feeling. I would not hesitate to recommend Mt. Hope Nursing Facility to anyone who needs long term care!

My dad, Hank Petersen was in Mt. Hope Nursing Center from 1998 to 2000 and he loved it. Everybody called him the greeter because he sat at the front door and greeted everything that was coming in and leaving every day. Some of the kids that were coming in to visit someone would hug him like he was their grandpa. They were very nice and caring people and it looks like they've made some changes which looks very nice. Thank you.
