It's so convenient to swing off the highway and catch this sight and be on your way because there's a walkway leading from the parking lot under the railroad. The upper part of the falls is closed and you have to maintain social distancing and masks at the lower portion but it's so beautiful

A beautiful area in winter or summer or fall.hiking the trail can be a little challenging in the winter but the payoff with the glistening with icicles that form as the water sprays along the side in the foliage is the beautiful pay off that you get. And if you are willing to get to the top you could find a rainbow glistening on top of the creek or the ray of the sun shining through the trees look out across the way and you can see the beautiful Columbia River as well as the gorge

Amazing waterfalls!! Very picturesque!! Views from base and bridge are awesome. They both are unique but gorgeous. Must visit place in Oregon, particularly on Columbia River Gorge scenic highway. Its the tallest waterfall in Oregon, no wonder its so famous. Hike to bridge is an easy one, hardly 0.5 mile. There's another trail almost one mile long to top of the waterfall as well. All waterfalls on this coarse are connected. There are hidden waterfalls too on this trail. I believe there are 8 to 10 waterfalls on this big trail and all are connected. From bridge, not just the waterfall but the scenery opposite to waterfall and Columbia river are amazing too. Parking is very limited. Get there early or there would be minimum 30 minutes wait for parking on historical highway. Getting a parking spot is the most tiring part in visiting this place. It took same time to park as hike to bridge, enjoy the views, take snaps, spend some time and get back to car. Cars backup on both sides of the road and wait for parking spot. Parking on I-84 is better than historical highway. Atleast its good that this place is accessible from both highways. There's a restaurant in Multnomah Falls Lodge. There are restrooms as well in the same building.

Love this place so much. Been coming here since I was a kid. The waterfall is mesmerizing. The parking fills up fast especially in summer. The lodge is nice and that little coffee/pastry cart always has delicious smells. The trail is paved and gives multiple vantage points. If you choose to walk to the top of the falls it's pretty challenging for the casual hiker as it's just switchbacks the whole way up. But it's totally worth it cause the view at the top is stunning.

Beautiful views, stunning waterfall! The hike up is totally worth it and there is a restaurant on site and also smaller vendors with snacks and ice cream. It gets pretty packed on the weekends though.
