Mr. Watkins came to our home to do a structural inspection recently. He is very knowledgeable, honest, and thorough. We highly recommend him if you think or know you are having structural problems and want an independent engineer prior to bringing in a repair company. We are so grateful that we called him. Our foundation is fine. All issues are very minor especially for a 17 year old house in North Texas

If I could choose negative stars I would choose thousands. This man is horrible just plan horrible and dishonest and straight out LIAR. We purchased a home in October and the seller had him come out in question of the foundation and he wrote in his report that there were no issues, only to come to find out we are now having to pay 7,000 in foundation repairs. I have turned him in, in any way possible . Please people I know he is cheap but DO NOT USE HIM AT ALL!!!!!!!! I contacted him to question his finding only to be hung up on numerous times and then he even offered to change what he put in the initial report. STRAIGHT OUT LIAR!!!!! I cannot believe the state of Texas Engineering Corp is keeping him licensed and what is even more sad is I never heard back from Texas Engineering Corp in regards to my complaint.
Let me start off by saying we were completely taken advantage of by this company . Hiring this company was the biggest mistake we ever made . We purchased a house there were clearly cracks present in the home in the ceiling the walls everywhere . We hired this company to give us a report company said they went out there and demanded payment in order to release the report we sent over payment after we sent the overpayment company release report and pretty much said there were no visible cracks in the house was fine the company clearly never even went to the house and took our money soon as you walk in you can see cracks we were taking advantage of and ripped off
I've used Ed before, he's frank and recommends work to be done if it's necessary. I've been satisfied with his recommendations. Once it was to do some stabilizing work, the other was a maintenance program. I'll use him again.
I have used Ed Watkins for several years he gives a fair understanding and recommendation to clients and they can then have a foundation company do the repairs. He uses the same methods other engineers I have seen and is very prompt.
