This place was awesome!!! The grounds and castle were beautiful and very interesting, and learning about Anna and Archer was so cool (they were both really interesting people)!! I would highly recommend that anyone in the vicinity check it out!

This was better than I expected and worth the time. I had no ideas such an amazing world renowned sculptor lived in South Carolina and is maintained by our SC State Parks. The fee to get in is a whopping 2. an unbelievable price! Take some time at the information center and look at the binder of all of Mrs. Huntington sculptures. Many are located in the Gardens across the street, some are in the Smithsonian, NYC, Washington DC and around the world. This is worth your time to visit.

Visited Huntington Beach state park today. Paid almost 30 to get in for the day. Parked and walked to the castle only to be stopped by an extremely rude woman who told us we needed masks on to be outside socially distanced. So we put our masks on and when we went to enter the castle, she stopped us again and said it was a 2 fee. I replied that we thought our admission fee covered it. She said \yeah that's what everyone thinks\ so we turned around and left. There was no signage anywhere about this additional fee. If she hadn't been so rude we would've obliged. Might want to reconsider who you have working at your park

What a neat piece of history right down the road from my house! I enjoyed walking through the \castle\ and learning more about the Huntington's and their contribution to the area. Next Brookgreen Garden. The only downer is paying to get into the park, 8/person and then paying 2/person to tour the castle. If your spending the whole day, not a bad deal, but if your only going for the castle there should be another price scale... just saying.

This was a great stop to make. First time going to Atalaya Castle itself. The only thing I had a negative vibe on was it cost 8 to get in the gate and then when you got to the castle it was another 2 to enter. Great site for pictures and to enjoy the natural scenery along with the Beach.
