Okay, I car-camped in Gallo Campground April 2010. It was a full moon night, with storm coming in. Lots of sounds! Some scary, but yet very mystical. Hiked around Chaco Canyon the next day: Visitors center for water, Casa Rinconada, Chetro Ketl, Pueblo del Arroyo, Pueblo Bonito, then through slot canyon to Pueblo Alto trail & Pueblo Alto area. Storm & darkness came quick that evening and had to leave high mesa quick in near darkness. Very interesting time! Wish I'd stayed longer. Left after morning hike: Wijiji site trail, for Aztec Ruins NM, sites around, then Mesa Verde National Park. Amazing!
