The Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary is an exceptional place to take children for a walk/hike. We explored a lot but will have to return to explore much more. There is a beautiful marshland (we saw dragonflies, turtles, lily pads & lotus! amongst so much greenery) with a great wooden walkway! The trails are well groomed and there were many kinds of mushrooms to look at. The woods can be dense but then there was a meadow and some ledge along the paths we took. Highly recommend for all aged children!

This beautiful and tranquil escape encompasses a wide variety of landscapes for very little effort. Begin by exploring the pond where kids delight in finding turtles, dragonflies, fish and even snakes. Stroll through the woods and marvel at waterfowl. Check out an old dam, look for beavers and their lodge, or watch birds of prey hunt over a broad field - it's all here and all lovely.

A great place in any season to wander on the miles of trails or look for nature in the bogs and ponds.

Wonderful place to go for a walk and explore. A nice variety of woods and terrain. We saw birds, turtles, frogs, snakes and small rodents. Swamp, fields, woods. Lots to see!

What of the nicer Audubons's. Nice short hikes to viewing areas for wildlife. Medium hikes around lakes and brooks. Also a few medium forest hikes out another way. So basically this place has something for everyone.
