Great place... Was perfect except for the bathroom WINDOW.. As someone who worked with glass block..you should NEVER use nubio (wave) pattern, we always use decora (ice) for privacy.. They both let same amount of light in & you won't have to see naked ppl showering.. Paying 50 for cleaning fee when we clean ourselves seems bit to much.. Especially since the cleaning husband & wife you're using does a terrible job.. I'd deff go back if ever had chance....

Great little cabin for an excellent price (125ish/nighttax). My husband, our nearly year and a half old toddler, my mom, and I stayed four nights in the Birdseye Perch cabin. The king bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable. The staircase to the loft is narrow, so while it was fine for us, wide people may have difficulty. Tons of natural light and it was really clean. I specifically like the cabin we stayed un because it's the last in the row of six and the private deck faces away from prying eyes.

Stayed at Birdseye Perch treehouse. It was nicely decorated but the floors were filthy dirty, the coffee pot was broken but they quickly brought us a new one, the kitchen had only a couple of glasses and very limited dishes, cookware snd utensils. We contacted the property mgr because the toilet seat was broken and the lights in the kitchen were not working. They eventually fixed the toilet seat but we still had no working lights for the kitchen . The beds were very poor and the upstairs TV didnt work. I saw a review from a year ago and the response was they would take care of upgrading bedding and fix the very squeaky bed frame. It doesnt appear either happened. The treehouses are houses built on stilts, not trees. The DVD players didn't have working remotes and the one in the main living area was actually on top of a kitchen cabinet. Not safe for use. It was low 40s and chilly but we could never get heat to work and the beds had only a light coverlet with no blankets. We actually had with great time with friends but I can't see myself paying for a return visit. They definately need to improve cleaning and upgrade beds and bedding.

Scenery is gorgeous, location is excellent, but house seemed to be slightly neglected and definitely geared towards young river goers vs families

I guess you can read some of the other reviews here and on other social medial and see that there's some issues. Yes, we had a few, but y'know...we had a GREAT TIME! This was a surprise anniversary trip for my wife and we found the \cabins\ built in the trees a wonderful little retreat. Cozy and warm and a great place to work on puzzles; read books; play a little guitar and watch TV shows we never had time to watch during the year. My wife was really happy and wants to go back and maybe rent the larger unit. We had a few issues, but none of them were game-breakers. We travel extensively and you we know how to roll with things and make the very best of it. The biggest thing for us was the wi-fi. Fortunately, we always bring our own hotspot because of our travels. The wifi in the cabin is not very strong so, if you have to do more than e-mails, it might not be strong enough for you. But, otherwise, a great little stay and we even tried to extend two more nights. However, they were booked! They should just call these the River Road Cabins, they aren't treehouses, but are built in the trees. Thanks for the great get-away.
