I wish I could give them 10 stars. Robert and Vivian are old school New Yorkers in the best way - completely unpretentious and genuine and kind. I got a great deal, super fast, with accurate, helpful guidance, generosity and humor every step of the way. I wish they ran every business. Let's clone them and put them in charge everywhere.

I think showrooms are pretentious and expensive, and I wish there were more these places. You can get a great suit or tux quickly and affordably. The husband/wife duo who own and run it are incredible - great characters but also helpful. Some things won’t fit perfectly but their tailor is a block away and adjusted my pants for 7 in 10 minutes.

Owners are incredibly helpful. They helped get me a tux, sent me to the tailor down the block and that evening I was off wearing it at an event. A true miracle & gem of a shop. 10/10 recommend.

This is one of those retail experiences in NYC that feels like you’re stepping back in time - in the best possible way! The owner and his wife are just wonderful - extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and their customer service is outstanding. I went in with my boyfriend looking for something very specific for a theme party and not only did they totally “get it”, they helped us put together the perfect ensemble at an extremely fair price. I normally don’t enjoy shopping for men’s clothing, but we actually had such a good experience that I thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend New Era

This place was definitely worth the commute to get there. It's owned by a couple and it's PACKED with gazillions of suits. The couple ask you what you're looking for and somehow find the right size from their huge inventory. We didn't end up finding a good fitting suit but I wish we had. I'd recommend this shop.
