We have stayed at Lily pond's Cottage for 2 of our wedding anniversaries. We plan on spending wedding anniversary number 34 there in February of 2019. We only live 2 miles away on our 100 year plus homestead but Lily pond's is a place where time literally stops. It's so secluded, so serene the squirrels, the birds it's just to sum it up FANTASTIC! Linda the owner is one of the kindest gentlest souls I have ever met. She is unique and her love for animals and nature just spill out of her in a true kind-hearted welcoming way. The cottage is an A frame and the amenities are great. The bed is so comfy and cozy and warm. I highly highly recommend this place, it's a place where time seems to stand still. You can say wow this is how simple life used to be you really don't want to leave. Kudos to Linda and David for this truly fantastic getaway. It's also very special because my late Dad said back when they walked over 2 miles to get to the New Ulm school on hot late summer days there was a spring fed pond ( still there) where him and his brothers would cool down skinny dipping in the pond. Dad has been gone nearly 20 years and the spirit, the laughter they had in the 1930's somehow that spirit remains so this place also has a sentimental value to me. God bless.

My wife and I just LOVED our very short stay, we had a babysitter for the night and I found paradise, my wife even said I looked younger the next day. The cabin, the property and the owner were just perfect for our seventh anniversary night. Highly recommend giving this place a try.
