As someone who has been tutored by Andrei for over a month now, I can confidently say that he has helped me drastically improve my french. He is extremely patient when teaching, and is very efficient when it comes to helping me learn and memorize new, useful terms. I definitely recommend him to anyone who is not very comfortable with their french, and even to those who just want to improve at all.

I've been studying French with Andrei for several months and I have to say it has been a wonderful, rewarding decision. I am not a true beginner since I took French for many years in school, but I just didn't feel I had a grasp of the language. Andrei immediately put me at ease and his French instruction is the best I've ever had. The sessions are completely tailored to your specific level of instruction and in a very short time had me learning more French than I could ever imagine. He is a master linguist and you really want that when you are studying languages to give you context and insight to help you achieve all your French speaking goals. Highly recommend Andrei as a tutor! He was patient with me and helped me become much more comfortable speaking French. I saw a major improvement in my pronunciation and rhythm when conversing. He also helped me with vocabulary and taught me more common French words and sayings versus the formal ones I learned in school. I really enjoyed conversations about French history and culture.
I was a participant in Andrei’s French Meetup group for a couple of years, and I found it to be a very positive experience. Andrei is very likeable and easy to work with. He is well educated (a graduate of the Sorbonne!), so his French is flawless and highly cultivated. And he’s capable of leading intelligent and well-informed conversations on a wide variety of subjects—including those to do with politics, international relations, economics, history, the fine arts, popular culture, and so on. His method is subtle, but effective. He seamlessly conducts his sessions, whether it’s with two students or six, in such a way that everyone gets his/her say, but without disrupting the flow of the conversation. This can be challenging, as he often has students of different levels in his sessions, but he carries it off with aplomb, and no one feels left out. Also, while Andrei is very nice and puts you at ease, he is exacting in the quality of his instruction. He is very diplomatic and encouraging in the way he corrects you, but correct you he will. Still, I found that I was having such a good time, I didn’t realize until later how much I had learned. In sum, I unreservedly recommend Andrei as a French teacher. Whether you’re a beginner, at an intermediate level, or advanced, you will get plenty out of your sessions with him, and you’ll enjoy the experience.
