Excellent experience on the whale watch today. Saw quite a few whales feeding and coming up for air... Even the cruise through the harbor was nice. Knowledgeable and friendly staff shared lots of whale info out at sea. I'd recommend it, especially on a hot day... 90 degrees on land but only 70 at sea! Wear sunscreen though!

We had an awesome time, was able to see a few whales in their natural habitat, couple of whales hunting, a mpther and her calf feeding and teaching the young one to dive. Really amazing experience for families with young kids, we took the capitan lady's III vessel, equipped with food, drinks, alcoholic drinks, bathrooms and all the safety equipment.

We saw 6 whales! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The boat was roomy, and clean. The galley was well stocked with real food and the bathrooms were very clean. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and told us specific information on each whale we saw - they knew them by name! Afterwards, the town is an awesome place to walk around in. We went to Portland before we came here and wished we had skipped Portland and just stayed in Newburyport.

Even though we didn't see any whales due to poor weather and time of the year, we saw rarely seen sunfish and, fortunately, found comfortable seats. We got to watch one woman become seasick. Everything that was negative was beyond the control of the company. Friendly service and decent bathroom, no paper towels or hand drier, and a gift certificate with a one year expiration date since we saw no whales earned a five star rating. I will go again. Arrive early for a good parking spot and seat. One dollar per hour for parking. Cards accepted. You can bring your own food and drinks, except alcohol Cooked food available. Update: Saturday, July, 2020; Redeemed gift card. I finally saw a whale. I've seen a whale's tale before, but, this whale, a female humpback at first named\Salt\ but later identified as\Diablo\, was more active. I saw another whale far of in the distance, but,it was for a second and we were moving away and no one else saw it. Bummer. Calmer waters. I saw two types of jellyfish. Same great staff and service. Bring a wall outlet phone charger and binoculars! My low battery took mediocre photos. I will not forget what I saw, for now. I recommend a ride about the middle of the season. I tried, with the women behind the food counter, to update the office of this business, which is right next to the boat on the water. Google had it listed at their old address. Look for Waterfront Trust Parking Lot and the Whale Watch is right next to the parking lot. Look for street sign as well.

Newburyport whale watch is amazing!!! I’ve been on several whale watching trips but Newburyport is by far my favorite! They have a full diner on board and the boat is much more comfortable then previous trips! We saw 100 dolphins and several whales!!
