Great people. The food pantry is incredibly helpful.

My family and I have volunteered for 5 years at Project Self Sufficiency for their Season of Hope Toy Shop. Everything is always so organized and well run. Year after year we walk away with such gratitude that we are able to help such a wonderful organization do such an amazing thing for so many families. We can’t say enough great things about PSS and all the programs and events it offers to the community! ️
I went in to get help with utility bills. Counselor was clueless. She told me to do an app with NJ Shares only to find out PSS does the apps for NJ Shares. If you like to run in circles chasing your tail, absolutely use their services. If you have any sense at all do a google search for your needs, you'll figure it out faster without the frustration of dealing with PSS.
On 2010 I was unemployed. Out of funds, looking for help, in every way. Protect self sufficiency, HELPED in a huge way. Free training, food, clothing, resume, job hunting, uniform and reference letter. Forever grateful to staff
Honestly I loved coming here. So many resources to help you out but I honestly think in my opinion they shouldn't even have a youth corps program. I have heard from numberous people that they don't teach you anything except having you do there dirty work for them. So, other then that the place is great as well as day care.
