Very nice ferry ride from Southport to Fort Fisher and back. Very relaxing and plenty to see on the way. The staff was nice. 7 per car which reasonable. You are allowed to feed the seagulls from the back of the ferry. Definitely a great experience.

Great experience. 5.00 to take your car, how cool is that? You get to ride on a ship. OK to feed the birds off the back.

I have taken the ferry many times as a commuter and also for fun. Staff is very friendly and the price is fair. They run things efficiently and very rarely do not run on time. Both terminals have a restroom and vending machines for snacks/drinks. Beautiful way to experience sunrise and sunset depending on the time of year.

Reasonably priced. Can get out of your vehicle once the ferry gets going.

This ferry has been well-maintained for years. The staff is always courteous and efficient, and things move like clockwork. They provide picnic tables and vending machines at the dock to help with the wait between rides. The ferry saves some boring driving time and is a nice, easy boatride.

This is a very nice place while waiting for the next ferry. We love going to the Ft. Fisher aquarium via the ferry. Staff are friendly, efficient, and fast. There is good parking, picnic tables, vending machines, and rest rooms. It can be tempting to let a ferry or two go while just relaxing.
