Emily worked with us during the pregnancy of our first baby. She was very knowledgeable and provided great one on one classes! She was very flexible and always accessible when we needed her. She has also been really great with postpartum care and checking in on us new parents!

I found Emily through divine intervention and I am forever grateful to have met her. My husband and I were planning for a home birth to bring our third child earthside. We had cesareans with our other two children, and we were excited to have a trial of labor and attempt at VBAC. Emily was the perfect dose of support that we needed, especially me. She came to our home several times before the birth, giving us loads of information and connection with my family, which was greatly important to me - for us to transition comfortably. The journey that led us to home birth was quite an unsupportive one - so when Emily and our midwife came into our lives, it was truly a fresh breath of air into my soul. As my pregnancy began to come closer to the end... it was clear that our sweet baby girl was comfy within my womb. We waited 42 weeks 2 days before we made the decision to have a repeat cesarean. Within those last two weeks Emily and her communication was present ( which I was in need of) - reminding me of my strength, my why and that all was well. She was right all was well and all is well. She followed up with our family for my post pardum and share joy with the delight of our new baby. If you’re looking for a doula who is well informed within this realm - look no further, she’s the real deal. She will be with you every step of the way - one word to describe her is supportive. Support is what I was looking for during my pregnancy and she fulfilled that by a landslide. Thank you Emily for all you are. ️
Emily was an amazing resource when my baby was a newborn! She drove quite a distance to come to my house the same day I called her! She truly exceeded my expectations and I am forever thankful for her help! :)
There really are no words to adequately describe what an absolute treasure we found in Emily when we were preparing for the arrival of our baby. Sometimes you get lucky in life, and we certainly did by happening upon Emily just a few months before the delivery date. From the beginning we found working with Emily a nearly spiritual experience. She seems to draw on something from the universe, some power of nurturing and healing that transmits readily to mother and baby alike. Emily became a critical part of our preparation for childbirth, advising, informing and comforting us throughout our time leading up to delivery, then becoming our warrior in the delivery phase. Once in labor, Emily took emotional control of us, soothed our fears and pains, helped guide us through critical moments and choices, ultimately jumping on the bed to help the RN better position the birth mother for delivery. As we said, there are no adequate words. We were blessed with a beautiful 8.1 boy, and we asked Emily to help us some more with the lactation and breast-feeding regimen that needs to follow birth. Again, she was just amazing, her knowledge and skills in this area, almost like magic. Her warm, comforting presence in our home made the difficult days after delivery a true joy. At times it seemed supernatural how Emily would take our boy -- Nicholas -- into her arms, and he would just swoon, picking up something deeply soothing. We could go on for another few paragraphs, but hopefully our words convey what an extraordinary woman Emily is and what an extraordinary difference she made in our lives. Sacred Knowledge Doula Services were wonderful for myself and my family. Emily provided such dedicated support for my labor that I would never go into childbirth without a doula again. She made me a true believer in doulas! She was our breathing coach, positions coach, eating and drinking reminder as well. She supported myself and my partner in ways like a mother would even though she barely knew us at the time. Her hardwork and dedication to labor and delivery support is the top of the line! I will consider her a family friend for life. I will also advocate for every woman who is pregnant or laboring in the hopes of a successful natural delivery to hire a doula. Thank you again Emily.
