Dunes are still open for street legal vehicles only. No quads or atvs allowed, so very different than the normal - busy and crowded. However, it was the most relaxing and peaceful trip there ever.

Live the dunes! It’s lots of fun, huge gigantic long beach and hidden dunes with nice trail behind. Monarch Butterfly spot is just there off the dunes. Be aware of the wind though.
