Great little shop. Exotic Pets Okeechobee has lots of different reptiles, rabbits, parakeets, chinchillas and a bunch of supplies. The animals are clean and healthy. The staff is nice and eager to assist and answer questions. They don't try to sell you animals. They make sure the animals are right for your family.

I love this place. There is always something new and exotic! The owner is very sweet and is always willing to answer questions. Guess what? ... it smells like a pet store! This is Okeechobee's only REAL pet store. They sell unique animals and have a large variety of different species you don't see in other stores. I travel quite a distance to visit weekly for my bird supplies. They even special order. I can't say enough positive things about them. Don't waste your time with the fake reviews. Prices are good. Selection is good. Animals are healthy. I would give 10 stars if I could.
What wonderful people! What kind hearted people! They care, and that’s important. If you’re unsure about something, ask! They’re happy to help, explain and educate! From fish, to reptiles and even furry creatures, they have it all! Need feeders for your snakes? They got that too!
Kerry that commented is right! The heavy set lady does not greet you.. she was absolutely rude its a shame the only pet store in Okeechobee STINKS BAD! Thank God I had my mask on.. I wouldn't be able to handle the smell.There's flies everywhere. The animals are walking on there own feces. The white furry animals are stained from there urine. She acts like she's giving away the animals for free or don't want to sell them.. Its really sad that these animals have to suffer and live in this type of environment.
I was apprehensive about going to this based on the negative reviews. I am glad I went. Owner is super nice and very knowledgeable. Animals are healthy. Store is clean. The negative reviews are most likely from competition because they are going a wonderful job. I was hoping to meet a skunk. I learned the breeding season and availability, and the fact I need to have a permit which the owner is helping me to obtain. They carry products for all types of exotic pets. Don't let the negative reviews sway your decision to visit. They have cool pets and know what they are doing.
