Just the facts for this 1 star review. A nice salesman came for an estimate. We decided to book the, for the job of installing a water softening system in our house and gave a 200 deposit on our credit card. They rescheduled me once. That’s totally ok. No worries. The day they re-scheduled me to (which I took of from work and didn’t get paid) they never showed up. I called 1 hour after they were late with their arrival window. They said we will call you back. 3 hours later I called again. They said we will call you back in 5 minutes. At 4:30 pm I called again and they said they would call me in 2 minutes. Nothing. I called the next day and told them that I wanted to cancel the work from them since they didn’t show up without any communication. They didn’t seem like a reliable company to service the system after this occurrence. I requested a refund of my deposit. They said they would “check with that department.” One week went by with no word. I called them back. They said they still had to run it by someone. Another week went by with no refund or communication. I called again: they said they were waiting for the permit money to be refunded to them from the town before refunding my deposit. I kept up with my end of the arrangement and the failures were on Passaic Bergen Water side yet I had to wait to get my refund. Ok, whatever. I called the next week (3 weeks of no refund) same story. On the fifth week of no refund I called them and told them I just can’t spend anymore energy on Passaic-Bergen water and told them just to refund me my deposit minus the permit cost just to be done. Well, 2 weeks into that phase still no refund. So I called them back to inquire and they said a refund was issued 2 weeks ago. I’ve been checking my online credit card activity and know that no refund has been sent so I asked for a transaction number which they couldn’t supply. This is my experience with Passaic-Bergen water. I’m still waiting for my deposit back 6 weeks later.

While we had a water softener previously, we decided to protect our family from the harmful impurities of the local water supply by installing a Reverse Osmosis RO) 5 stage unit. At the same time we also upgraded to a whole home water softener/chlorine remover (which is also quite high around here). We decided to go with Passaic Bergen Water Softening based upon a friend’s recommendation. I can’t say enough about the amazing customer service and installation that this expert team brought to the table. I now can sleep better at night knowing that the family is protected against the chemicals in our water supply. Thank you!!!
A terrific-stress free- encounter...Ron, The salesperson, was wonderful to deal with...no rush, no pressure...answered ALL my questions AND returned phone calls within minutes...The ladies in the office were great to deal with scheduling the entire process and RICH, the installer was INCREDIBLE...meticulous, neat work with wonderful attention to EVERY detail and request and left the worksite clean...all in all a terrific experience and recommend this company HIGHLY!!!!
We had a whole house softener and UV filter installed. Whole experience was superb - fair price, quick service, quality installation, very responsive. And Johnny is the absolute nicest guy ever.
Ron sold a dream but when the installer came, what Ron the sales guy promised could not be delivered. I call Ron the explain my issues while the installer was still at my home, but he could not be bothered. The deal was done. Look elsewhere.

Everyone I dealt with, from the owner Johnny who came out to evaluate our situation, to the office staff & our installer, Chris was extremely professional. They were responsive, arrived on time and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend!
They installed our whole-house filtration system (Ridgewood, NJ) and have maintained the salt level since 2015. Very happy with their services. They are proactive and very helpful in ensuring your systems remain topped up and are quick to respond. Highly recommended if you live in Northern NJ or surrounding areas.
