I encourage everyone to visit this battlefield and all the others before they are shutdown and forgotten. I suspect the monuments inside this battlefield and at other battlefields will be removed and history rewritten in the coming years. So anyone who still has an open mind and can think for themselves--come visit Perryville Battlefield, it may not always be there.

It is self guided. Make sure to look out for the different plaques. There is interesting information on each of them. They had a haunted evening tour when we went but buy your tickets ahead of time bc they were sold out. Its such a nice area to walk. Make sure you check out the old cemetery near here. It is something to see!

Sad place to visit knowing how many men died and was wounded tbere. The site itself is a beautiful area.

It's well-kept; nice to walk around and look at the monuments but the museum and gift shop were closed.
