Dr. Appleton is an amazing surgeon. He did my bilateral knee surgery 3 months ago and I am very happy with the results. His wonderful staff took care of all the little things before and after surgery. I would highly recommend him and his team!!

I was diagnosed to require knee surgery and physical therapy by the hospital and after doing so with this clinic and associates I was hit with an substantially large medical bill that I was informed would be helped with insurance. It was not until after my treatment that I was informed that they were having trouble with my insurance and would have to bill me directly. So here I am still recovering from my procedure and now I need to figure out how to pay this huge bill. If the Orthopedic Associates of Dallas would have did their work and research sooner, I would not need to worry about this.

I highly recommend Orthopedic Associates of Dallas. Dr. Sheena Black performed a scope, a MPFL reconstruction, and a TTO on my right knee after a freak accident in 2/2018. The procedure itself went without a hitch. The recovery time was long but she was there every step of the way. Dr. Black was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This was not a common procedure which I was fairly nervous about at first but I was ensured that the procedure would go well, as it did. After recovery I was right back to work performing tasks such as working in attics and crawl spaces with no problem. Her PA, Patrick, was also extremely kind and very knowledgeable as well. Every staff member and nurse was also very kind. While it was not a fortunate situation to go through I was very lucky to choose Dr. Black and the Orthopedic Associates of Dallas. They turned a fairly bleak situation into a manageable one with my knee feeling better than it was prior to my injury.

I had the same issue as other posters. I was charged an exorbitant amount by the hospital system, apparently the group is actually owned by the hospital and not a private practice, and the hospital can charge higher rates than normal. I would not recommend.
