What a nice, peaceful area to visit and see Lake Superior. The board walk is sturdy and gives great views. The lighthouse is a very nice structure to behold. I would love to go back when it is open and see the inside. This was a great day trip for our family.

What a lovely local landmark! Cold and rainy when we visited. Good size parking, historic lighthouse (closed for season), boardwalk paths/benches to the Lake Superior close by, bathrooms (closed for off season), great LS stones along the beach. Stones are various sizes, excellent variety and numerous types/colors. Great agate hunting area. We will return in warmer weather!

very peaceful and beautiful. There is a very nice walk on a boardwalk along the shore of lake superior., with lots of places to rest and enjoy the beautiful views, along with the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. Nothing beats the great lake air. I absolutely love and highly recommend this stop. The lighthouse is so pretty, with a frozen in time look. Beautiful stone masonry walls surround the lighthouse. This is a breathtaking place for that perfect photo op.

Beautiful lighthouse. Came here to take pictures of the Auora Borealis and did not disappoint! Beautiful!

Definitely worth the short drive outside of Sault Ste Marie! The lighthouse itself is awesome and you can go up into the tower. There is a museum in it and small gift area also. The beach is great and easily accessible. There are smooth brightly-colored stones for the picking (great free souvenirs). This is also a great spots to see the ships coming in from Lake Superior. You can watch your favorite ship pass and still have ample time to get back and watch it go through the Locks.
