In a very short time, Factory 3 has attracted some amazing, dedicated makers. It’s been an immense satisfaction to be a part of building out a big empty box, from floor to ceiling, into clean, efficient shops and studios for makers of all levels.

An absolute welcome addition to Portland, ME and the local maker community. Factory 3 provides the means for multiple disciplines of making/creating and has been a positive experience in coming to know the space. Friendly and encouraging environment with makers of many diverse talents. For my own needs, the woodshop without question helps deliver the means to move my projects along. The location and setting is a great bonus. Tucked in an unassuming nook of a neighborhood, and across from a park, the space is fully equipped for industrial purposes and yet still possesses a neighborhood feel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Factory 3. The place was clean and friendly . We used the metal work equipment and were properly trained and supported using the space. Everyone there is following COVID safety guidelines and I look forward to going back again and doing some woodwork.

Factory 3 is perfect for me. I am a working/selling artist who needed a mixed-media creative space. I had looked at Portland's other options and it took about 10 seconds to know Factory 3 was for me. The location, large open environment and excellent ventilation are great. Most of all, there is a generous, creative and welcoming community of artisans. I love coming to \work.\ Pete Chandler

I have been apart of Factory 3 from the beginning and love it very much! I have my own personal space (you can pick depending on size) that I can come and go as I please. I have access to a wood shop and metal shop as well. There are also classes held by other members. I took woodshop 101! There are events weekly and allow for artists to support one another and talk about each other's work. I am thankful for a space that I feel so comfortable in and can allow for my creativity to grow.
