NEVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! Company came in and lied said they were with the company that my parents already had and were upgrading them and put their system in and stuck them with another contract. Now they refuse to buy out the contract with the other company. These people prey on the elderly and take advantage of them. YOU ARE CROOKS AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most rude, disrespectful, and unethical company I have ever worked with. They sold me my contract for 5 years and turned around, the same day and sold my neighbor a contract for the same coverage for 3 years. There was a little over 3 difference in the amount we were paying. When I tried to reduce my contract to 3 years they flat refused and just told me I signed the contract. They will say anything and everything they can and it does not matter how dishonest they are!!! There is no consistency or integrity in their sales pitches - it's all about how much they can get from whom ever they are selling to. Their customer service is just as bad. I was not getting paper bills like I had requested nor was I getting online bills so I was not paying my bills. Working with them to correct it was a total nightmare. They would not return calls. When I would call and ask for a specific person, I was told they had just left the building - multiple times. It was a joke. They did give me a discount for a few months but the bills were never correct and I had to call in every month and explain the whole story all over again to a different person. But the bills were never corrected, always came wrong and they justified it by saying their system didn't work right that month and it would be ok the next month. But it never was. I gave a bad review on their internal system and a woman called my from their customer service dept to see what she could do to remedy the situation. When I told her my experience, she was cold, calloused and unwilling to work with me. It was all my fault. Their company takes not responsibility for their ethics and/or practices. I would never, ever recommend Protection 1 to anyone, ever!!!!!!!!! My contract is up in 10 months and I will be so glad to never have to deal with them again.

I wish i didn't have to leave a star. Protection one is the worst company on earth. They DO NOT care about protecting anything you own. Our business alarm system equipment failed over night last night. we called in at 8am to get it handled. It is now 3:35pm and i finally got a call from a tech telling me it will be another 3-6 hrs. On top of that, we had to call in 6x to actually get an appointment. The worst part of this is they know to tell you they will charge you 400 for the first hour and 95 every 15 minutes there after to FIX THE EQUIPMENT YOU PAY TO WARRANTY!!! I am going to get another alarm company Monday and will post the name of the company we select so everyone reading this can NOT CALL PROTECTION ONE! PLEASE call a REAL ALARM PROTECTION COMPANY! I am FLOORED that they don't take the business they do seriously. In closing. A COOL THING TO KNOW - The supervisor of Protection One actually told me "there is nothing i can do for you, please call us Monday" NO LIE!!!! She wanted me to leave my business un-armed till Monday!!!! JOKE JOKE JOKE - Protection One needs to remove themselves from protecting ANYTHING!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! DO NOT USE THEM - unless you want to be robbed blind!!!!! PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!! YOUR FAMILY - BUSINESS & LIFE IS WAY MORE VALUABLE!!!!!! Biggest regret of my life was signing up with Protection 1. MY fault that I didn’t read the fine print, but I hadn’t I known I was signing a five year contract I would not have signed it (because I knew I would be moving in a few years). The salesman asked if I was going to be living here for at least two more years and I said yes, so I went into the contract assuming it would be two years. Again my fault for not being smart enough to read the fine print, but I was very misled. So I have moved now and cancelling has been a complete nightmare. I had to cancel twice. The second time I cancelled I gave them my new billing info and was told I would receive a payoff statement balance in the mail. That was the end of November. First of January I still haven’t seen one. Got a phone call from Protection 1 yesterday trying to collect payements. I explain that I cancelled and was told to expect that letter in the mail. Lady says ok, youll get that in the mail. Got a phone call tonight at 6:30 asking for a payment, explained to this new lady the situation and was transferred to a new lady who said that’s not how things are done. To payoff what’s renaming of my five year contract I can do 3 months worth of payments of 250 a month - that’s the best they can do. I said I Can’t afford that so she said best she could do is like 203 a month for four months. I said I still can’t afford that and if that’s the case then I would just continue to make my monthly payments until the contract is up. She says that’s ok. So freaking dumb, had that been the case from the beginning I would be paying it off now. Just got another phone call from them again! Tonight at 8:50 pm. Worst company ever! Misleading and unorganized. I guess live and learn.

Was told there would be no contract. When I went to discontinue, I was told I was locked into a contract. Wont be using them again!!!

made mistakes installing equipment, trying to charge me over 300 to have them come fix, which they sent me the bill after they sent someone to fix. Ended up just paying the bill because they threatened to turn service off. They have treated me like a liar and a thief. Then explained I was in a long term contract. Ha! News to me!

Scammers! Came to my home and told me I could cancel anytime. I called 2 years later to cancel and they said I had to pay 750 to cancel.
