I strongly recommend for any service members to not consider Protection1. Up until now, Protection1 has been a pretty descent choice. I called to cancel my contract due to military orders and was forwarded to their "Competitve" department. Ciara, the manager, became pretty upset that I wanted to cancel my service with them and proceeded to say that I'm abusing the military and started arguing with me about my service and said that she thinks I always abuse it. She thought it was pretty funny how offensive she was being and that she was the manager. Only reason why I gave 2 stars is because that's the only ignorant person I had to deal with. Not sure why this company has her in a supervisory position.

The only reason I gave them a 1 is because ZERO wasn't available! These people are bilking my grandfather! They've signed him to a long term contract and he had a fire in his home. Lucky we put Nest smoke alarms in the house also because, Nest alarmed him, Protection One didn't! Grandpa loves 'em and continues to send them money although there is no alarm in the home since the fire. Think they would send his money back?
INCREDIBLE customer service experience. I was having a problem re-syncing after making some user changes, and the representative that was helping me over the phone worked on it tirelessly until it was resolved. Very friendly and helpful throughout the process.
Just had the alarm for one month without knowing that there is a 3 year contract involved not once was this brought to my attention with the sales rep. Very misleading company please read the fine print before you sign up with them
PROTECTION ONE The absolute WORST ALARM COMPANY IN SAN ANTONIO. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE ON EVERY LEVEL and Management is WORSE. THEY SAID OUR FRONT DOOR GLASS WAS BROKEN AND SENT THE POLICE. (125.00) . Our front door glass was never broken and HAS NEVER BEEN BROKEN. It's the original glass that has been here for over 20 years. DO NOT BUY 1 PRODUCT FROM THIS COMPANY- DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT . IF THEY APPROACH YOU FOR BUSINESS OR HOME ALARMS ...RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN DO NOT LOOK BACK!
the sale person was not a good person as well as his techs that work for him. They do a poor job downlaod app on your smart phone that don't work with Protection One and when you need help he say just call me and I've there for you but don't and when the techs cone out they say I don't know how to fix ask your sale guy he was no help. So I had to call the main office they tried to help but was no good. I'm glad I cancel my contract ahead of time because we're treated really bad. Promised somethings but didn't get it. The tech come into your house and leave your floors dirty. We left our home sercurity to go with Prection One...I'm glad we're able turn our alarm back on. Bad, bad business fornt a first time custom, Veteran and a USAA member. NO GOOD!!!!

This company is robbery! Early Termination Fee of 750 when we WEREN'T informed that WE would be in a contract for 3 YEARS? WHY is there ONLY a 3 year contract when we SPECIFICALLY ONLY requested a 1 year contract for our 1 year rental???!!!!
