The main Dr. always treated me with kindness, respect and compassion. She is knowledgeable and helped assist me through several skin treatments that made a noticeable difference fighting breakouts. I am also thankful that Avena performed the treatments at a fair price. Thank you Avena Wellness!

Yesterday I traveled an hour to this facility willing to pay out of pocket to get help with pain. The two receptionists at the front desk were not wearing masks and I saw another employee enter without putting a mask on either. I decided to protect myself and leave so I am unsure about the intelligence of the person who was scheduled to treat me. I HAVE NO FAITH OR TRUST IN MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS THAT WOULD CHOOSE NOT TO WEAR A MASK DURING A PANDEMIC. I left with more pain and additional stress. I am disgusted and appalled but perhaps other patients would not mind feeling unsafe. They should be ashamed and investigated.

I was diagnosed with cancer three years ago, had an MRI scan two days prior to my appointment at Avena. I received a phone call at 4pm the night before my appointment from my doctor that there were some abnormalities found in my scan. As you can imagine I am literally scared for my life. I called the next morning, spoke to Cynthia to try to reschedule my appointment, I told Cynthia I was not in the right frame of mind to make it to my appointment. I was told, over and over, that I would have to forfeit the 100 deposit because I didn't give them a 48 hour notice of cancellation. I was also told that I should have at least called the night before as they close at 5:30. I was more concerned about calling my oncologist not cancelling my appointment at Avena. I understand this policy, but where is the compassion? Where is the kindness? This is a center for healing and caring, and wanting to help people with sickness. It seems the bottom line is all about the money.

If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. Don't go there. \Dr.\ knows nothing, will waste your time and drain your bank account. Complete THIEFS.

I've been going here for years and have been helped when \traditional\ medicine has failed me. Everyone is always so cheerful and knowledgeable.
