Easiest academy to get into for a reason. Unless your uncle or dad is a firefighter and pull some strings for you it's going to be a long, hard road getting hired. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. You'll just have to learn all over again from a legit academy as most departments (except the locals) statewide recognize the inadequacies of this program. Administration condones racial slurs used excessively during training to top it off.

Dysfunctional staff,many not even firefighters. Fire Explorers with only a couple years experience display more fire-tech knowledge than a lot of them. Haphazard curriculum with excessive PT and mind games to fill the void of substantial education and cover the hours mandated by the state. At family orientation they say they help the cadets.....TOTALLY FALSE! Racist against Latinos. Backwoods.
