Best place to grab a canoe and see the river and homes. I highly recommend going to Chase bridge, Steckert bridge trip is too short.

I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!! Campbell's Canoe is always my favorite Michigan destination - fun for couples, families, parties - we have done it all at this beautiful, refreshing, clean, and well run vacation spot! We usually choose a canoe, but the kayaks and the tubes look like a blast. They are DOG FRIENDLY so bring your buddy and spend a delightful afternoon rolling down the river. Checkout their gift shop, filled with fun things and seriously great t-shirts. The young, enthusiastic staff will be happy to help make your day the highlight of your trip! See you next year!!!

Wonderful tour down the river with a great and helpful staff at Campbell's Canoe and Kayak rental store. Went with family while camping at Higgins Lake and decided to do a day trip to do some kayaking and it was awesome! Relaxing and refreshing! They have you drop your car off at a seperate location (finish area of kayaking trip) and then drive you back to starting location (store/registration area) where the wonderful staff helps you load onto the kayak and go on your way. Their store includes a good variety of water resistant essentials (backpacks, bags, bottles, etc.) as well as apparel to sport Campbell's. The river is rather shallow and with a slow current which made great for young kids who were weary about being on the water. Highly recommend if looking to spend a relaxing day admist beautiful wooded northern Michigan.

Wonderful staff and affordable rentals, 5 if you bring your own kayak. Shuttle offered and the river was beautiful. Very shallow in most areas, lots of roots, with lots and twists and turns. The 3 hour trip was well worth it, there were many places to get out for exploring as well. They do have tube rentals so there were a few traffic jams through the more narrow spots but everyone was friendly and the scenery and log homes were breathtaking.

I have had nothing but the best time here. We go every year as a big family trip and the staff is always great. Only thing is be super careful because there is a lot on the water that can EASILY pop your tube. Not expensive really and staff is super chill. Great place to spend a warm Saturday.
