Chuck was great to work with. He came out within two days of my call when my chimney was letting water leak through. He identified the problem right away and told me what needed to be done to fix it. Chuck and his team made us a custom chimney cap faster than he initially estimated. They came less than a week later to install, seal our cracks and gaps and complete the job. I would highly recommend Chuck and his team for any chimney work you need.
Argued with me within two minutes of our first phone call together. Leaky chimney flashing seal on the up-slope side had already been diagnosed and successfully sealed twice in the past. I called specifically about the feasibility of a chimney cricket. He Said, \your bother-in-law and your roofing company don't know what they're talking about\ without, himself, ever even having seen my roof, without even knowing that the roof composition is metal with metal flashing, without ever even having asked! I work way too hard for my money to spend it arguing with a stranger on the phone while he diagnoses my leak problem from the comfort of his armchair. How about, \why don't I stop over and take a look\?
Chuck and his team were great! They showed up for both appointments on time, were clean and very thorough! They checked everything completely, provided pictures, explained things in detail and replaced some cracked firewall as well as the chimney cap. Very personable! Next year we will also use them to clean the chimney! Highly recommend!
Chuck saved us 5000 and saved us from replacing our chimney. Chuck is the owner of Atlanta Chimney Doctor. He has a crew of two guys who do initial inspections & a scheduler who puts you on the calendar. All phone numbers on the website goes to Chuck's phone. Truthfully he can be hard to get a hold of at times. He may get caught at an earlier job and you might have to reschedule. But this is because he is thorough and gives time and attention to each job. You just need proper expectations. Most likely his 2-man crew will come out for an initial inspection and report back to Chuck. Chuck's strength is not organization or managing customer expectations but he is VERY GOOD at what he does. Realize you must have patience, but it is TOTALLY worth it. We had a construction company put the wrong type of cap on our chimney and our termination had been cut. It caused smoke to back up into our house and burn the siding. Another chimney company said we needed to replace our fireplace because our termination cap was cut off and it couldn't be replaced. Chuck offered a \potential\ solution for us to try that cost us 1000 and then a \for-sure\ fix if that didn't work that would cost 3000. The \Potential\ solution ended up working perfectly & saved us 5000 but even if we had to do the additional repair we still would have come out cheaper than the other company. We appreciated Chuck's honesty, ability to find solutions that fit our budget and his great work. Highly recommend.
