No one is out there. Bridges need to be posted assessment dated... No garbage cans at entrance/exits. Snowmobiling apparently rules the cold season. Should be an appreciation _ activity info board at trail entrants. Absolute no leaning policy.

Nice place to ride from the trail head going east. Restrooms and restaurants along the way. Peaceful place to ride and enjoy nature and a cold beverage. The first 20 miles are straight and flat. Then once you pass Onamia the offroad trails start. Red Top and Solana Loop are the best.

We found the bike trail very straight and boring with almost no shade. The trail was not well maintained and had cracks with weeds growing through as well as rocks. We were continually eating the dust from all the ATV's passing us on the dirt trail running parallel (when they weren't riding straight toward us on the bike trail). The directions from the Minnesota Bike Trails booklet said the trail ran from Kathio to Father Hennepin State Park. This may be true of the off road trails but was definitely not true for the bike trail. We suggest staying off of this bike trail and instead go biking on the trails in Crosby which are windy, shaded and much more scenic.
