Rufty Homes has consistently demonstrated a willingness to spend the extra money required to do the job correctly. This is a rare quality in todays market. Having worked with many other custom home builders in the area, they are the first choice in who I would recommend to potential homeowner looking for a builder to build their dream home.

Very fair. Exceptional quality and on time. We love our house and the craftsmanship that went into it. BUT, the best part is after your are done. If there are any issues, and there were very few, they are out there in a flash to address it. This was a tremendous experience.
Buyer Beware They took us for a lot of money. Your experience might be better. I hope so. If you choose to get a quote from Jon Rufty, I recommend: - Find out how much they're charging you for the bid. They charged us 16,000. Don't sign anything until you get the pricing. They will send you a PSA (professional services agreement); read it carefully. - Ask what the supervisor cost is per hour. Get that in writing. - If you're doing cost plus, ask them how they calculate that. It's different from other builders. That alone will be very enlightening. Good luck.
All depends on the type of home you want to build. In our case we wanted a unique home, like no other. Built with the best craftsmanship and design. No other builder in the Triangle can deliver like Rufty. I have been in many homes and Rufty homes have the feel of quality.
