Unfortunately, I didn't think the Dr. listened to us. My son has pre-existing neurological condition that possibly caused him to lose partial eye site for a small amount of time. Before coming here, my sons' eyesight was checked out and it was found that he has a blindspot and it was up to us to see if this was in part, because of the existing neurological issue. We were in his office and I don't believe he listened to us one iota...only wanted to talk about the headache aspect, not the whole neurological aspect. We were referred to him and I wish I knew he strictly only dealt with migraines...other than migraines, he had no interest to help us.

Dr. Berenson and Rachel Swartz have really helped me with my chronic migraines where other doctors hadn't. I had given up hope of getting relief from almost daily migraines when my daughter (an RN) researched and found very positive information about Atlanta Headache Specialists. Since starting treatment with them early this year (2019) my migraines have been reduced at least 50% and usually aren't as painful as before. I feel like I have my life back again.

I have been suffering migraines for years and have been able to deal with them. However, all the sudden they became very severe so much so that I was even hospitalized for nine days during one of them. My neurologists were all stumped on why they were so bad and how to treat them. When I got referred here it was the first time that a doctor had answers and a plan. Their staff is also very kind.I have been receiving botox and nerve blocks. The nerve blocks are truly magic my head pain is not even in the same ball park as they were before. If you are suffering from migraines GO! Im so very thankful to them

These people don't have a caring bone in their body! One time, I can overlook but twice now, they have scheduled an appointment with me standing right there and when I show up for it, says I did not have an appointment!! The last time used their accusation mode like I was the one that made the mistake when in reality, they were. It was supposed to be Sept. 15, not Aug. 15th! The Dr. told my son 6 weeks, not 2! We were just there two weeks prior to Aug. 15th so there would be no way I would've scheduled that. I even scheduled 2 appts in the same day on Sept. 15th to get them over with and had a discussion on the exact time with the lady making the appt. letting her know what I was doing and giving us plenty of time to get to the next appt. We waited over an hour and a half and still was not seen. I asked them to have the Dr. call me, which she never did!!! They didn't even seem apologetic at all. That office needs some training on customer service. I will be finding another specialist that can actually help my son. All they had done so far is try to drug him up with medicine that is not helping!!

In my opinion this place only cared about getting money to manage my painful migraines. Never tried to figure out why they were happening or how to avoid them. I thought they would order an MRI or have me list what I was eating to try to figure it out...but they never did. They just wanted to sell me nerve blockers and Botox Shots. So I did the nerve blockers which my insurance initially paid for...but they didn't tell me my insurance had stopped covering them and I was shocked to find out I owned a ton of money and had to stop getting them. I was paying it off when I got a letter from the insurance company saying they would cover Botox Shots for my migraines. I took the letter in and confirmed with 2 people, one being the doctor that this letter meant the shots would be covered. I even explained I didn't have 1000 to try them being a single mom. I even reconfirmed these would be covered and the details matched the letter the day I got the shots. To my shock I was sent a bill for the Botox! I called and spoke to the very rude billing department and they actually said \just because the insurance company and us said it would be 'covered' doesn't mean they would PAY for it. It was applied to your 6000 deductible\ !!!! Seriously?! I was outraged and felt deceived and in the heat of the moment said i wouldn't pay! So within 20 days of receiving a bill it was sent to a collection agency. I had almost an 800 score on my credit before this and now have this hanging over my head. I still don't think I should have to pay after i was reassured MULTIPLE times it would be paid for. These people in my opinion have no ethics and deceitful practices. They want the money and do not care if they are deceiving people on what will be owed for services. I also still have no idea why I have migraines.
