I haven't actually spent a dime here yet but It's a pretty good store and a nice addition to Santa Monica. The only real problem I have is there's a weird chemical smell when you walk in, probably from the furniture paint. Then again, maybe it's there on purpose...

Fabulous shop! Bright, cheery, and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of personal attention and support. They are so encouraging. I'll be back again and again.
I placed an online order and then changed my mind about what I wanted. They responded immediately even though they are extremely busy because of covid. They offered a very generous solution and we’re kind and helpful. Shipping was super fast. Definitely would buy again online as I don’t live in CA

This store is wonderfullll inside and out!! ... and Julie, who owns the shop, is a wonderful person inside and out ) ... Amazing customer service, and an outstanding selection of the most beautiful quilting cottons in all of Los Angeles ... But don't forget the thread!! I think they're the only local place that carries Mettler thread (the best) ... Even if you're just learning to sew, you'll want to stop in here and get GREAT thread, which makes all the difference in the world for success in your projects!!
This shop is fantastic. I have been taking sewing classes with Ivy, and almost immediately after starting Fashion Sewing 1A I signed up for the next rounds, 1B and 1C. Everyone in the shop is so knowledgeable and helpful, and Ivy is a wealth of knowledge and experience. I highly recommend the classes, suitable for total beginners. The shop is chock full of quirky, beautiful, fabrics, with a mixture of well loved brands such as cottonsteel, and gorgeous but lesser known brands. A healthy selection of Japanese fabrics, a small book shop, and a lovely collection of batiks. I am SEW happy I found this place.
This is the best sewing and fabric store I've ever been to. They have a wide selection of machines and in-house service for machines. They have a variety of classes and great teachers. Wide selection of fabric and notions. Staff is friendly. They taught me how to quilt, sew with stretch fabric (I made my own yoga pants!), make a bag with leather accents. They also have classes for kids. What's not to love? Highly recommended.
